aBOUT THE LECTURER
Dr. Camilo R. Gomez is a board-certified vascular, critical care, and interventional neurologist with more than 45 years of medical practice. A pioneer in the development of modern stroke treatment, he has shaped the clinical and operational standards that define neurovascular care today.
A gifted educator, Dr. Gomez has served on the faculty at four major U.S. medical schools: Saint Louis University, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Loyola University Chicago, and the University of Missouri, mentoring generations of students, residents, and fellows. He is a sought-after consultant and keynote speaker, known for his ability to bridge clinical insight, operational strategy, and systems improvement with clarity and vision.
An award-winning and best-selling author, Dr. Gomez has written 11 books and contributed to numerous scientific publications and book chapters. His work spans clinical topics, medical education, negotiation, and healthcare reform. He is also a dynamic communicator whose lectures challenge conventional thinking and inspire innovation.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Gomez holds a business degree from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. His expertise in operational excellence has guided quality improvement initiatives in hospitals and health systems nationwide.
He currently serves as President and CEO of CK Strategic Solutions Group, a consulting and publishing company focused on clinical performance, leadership, and communication strategy.
